Submissions: The Publican of Philadelphia accepts submissions. Contributors from the Philadelphia area will be granted greater consideration.
Please follow the guidelines below: When sending a submission place it in an e-mail attachment as a word document. Title the file by placing the author's last name first, followed by the first name, then the title of the work. So Ms. Jane Smith's article on Mr. Jones' Cat would be submitted as: 'Smith-Jane-Mr.Jones'Cat'.
In the body of the email please include full name, town and state, and what type of work is being sent.

Please follow the following word limits:
Poetry: no length requirements
Essays: 500-3,000 words
Book and Film Reviews: 800-2,000 words
Short fiction: Up to 4,000 words
Interviews: 800-2,000 words
Photography and Art:
Please send pictures in jpeg format
Works that have been previously published in other publications will not be eligible unless the writer has received permission from the editor of the other publication.
All copyright privileges remain with the author of the work, The Publican is granted permission by the writer when the work is submitted to publish the work as we see fit.
At the present time no compensation is available for contributors.
